Happy Sweet 16 Brooke!

Good evening from a very COLD Paris! The day started with a few flurries... yes flurries! Shhhhh! Most of us were not awake to see them thankfully! We had breakfast at the hotel and wished Brooke a happy sweet 16. What a lucky girl - celebrating her 16th birthday in Paris, France! We visited Pere Lachaise cemetery where Jim Morrison is buried. Than, we took the RER to Versailles and indulged ourselves with gold EVERYTHING until we met up with a former Eisenhower French exchange student named Corey. We all had crepes and visited and then we were off again, this time to Montmartre to see the beautiful Sacre Coeur basilica. The students had some free time on the hill to shop and eat dinner. From there, we descended the hill and took pictures in front of the Moulin Rouge. We ended our day in front of the Eiffel Tower, watching it glitter at 9pm. All and all a great, but chilly, day! Here are some highlights:

A big burrrrr from Paris!

Bonjour! We finally have a better internet connection in Paris!
Everyone was sad to leave their host families today but good news... everyone got to the station ON TIME!!! We arrived in Paris around 1:30 and we were already taking Kodak moments by the Eiffel Tower at 3! Here are some our day's highlights... by the way - it was about 20 degrees.... the coldest trip up the Eiffel Tower I've EVER had!

Poisson d'avril!

Happy rainy April fools day! It was a rainy and cold day in Toulon - not the norm for one of the sunniest places in France! Many stores and restaurants were closed because of it being Easter Monday. Tomorrow everything will be open and the students are going to school! We are so excited for them!

EASTER in France!

Bonjour! Easter Sunday was beautiful in Toulon! The sun was at full force, the temperature was in the mid-upper 60's. The city was bustling and spring was in the air! The chocolateries were full of chocolate eggs, chickens and bunnies and it smelt delicious everywhere! We didn't see any students today, but the profs were able to get away for a bit and we spent a few hours on the Cote-d'azur in Monaco. It was definitely an enjoyable Easter! We hope you all had a happy Easter! Tuesday, the students have the awesome opportunity to go to school with their host families! We can't wait to hear about their experiences!
